Banned Ideas

In my opinion, it is never appropriate to ban ideas, books etc. All things being equal, they should all be allowed to compete in the arena of facts.  Today we are faced with vast amounts of fiction, masquarading as fact. Trust in institutions is now so challenged and conspiracy theories, and conspiracy thinking so entrenched, that even warning labels don't set thing right.

These are not new problems.

Humans have banned books and ideas throughout history in an attempt to control how the "people' think.

In various places and times Harry Potter, the Bible and Darwin have all been banned.

In the interests of an open marketplace of ideas I'm presenting some links to banned ideas.
